week 6

 WEEK 6

5/5/2023, FRIDAY

ACTIVITIES

in the 6th week, all students have started their studies after a week's holiday to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. On Friday 5/5 all students must attend rollcall before 630 am as usual. After the roll call was over, we went to the agrotech plantation field to sing the planters song and my national song with the students of part 2 and 3.

After that, we were instructed to go to the equipment store to change shoes and pick up a hoe and go to our respective plots to do the work. This week's work is field drainage and main drainage, replant seedlings and adjusting bed. We did the work until 1030 in the morning and had to stop because of heavy rain. While it was raining we were still in the field and were told to go home at 11am, but had to continue the work in the evening and the next day. Not forgetting that at 10 am we were fed fried rice for breakfast. The meal is paid including rm40 in the second week first .

CHALLENGES

We face various challenges while doing farm work such as having to face very hot weather nowadays. Next, the hard soil makes it difficult to make field drainage and main drainage. Apart from that, all part 1 farm management diploma students also had to face the problem of ragging by farm seniors such as ordering punishments. For example, arriving late to the farm, not listening to the word will be punished with push ups, standing in the heat facing the sun and many more. But those are all challenges that we have to face in the cost of this plantation.

COASTING

No cost to be issued this week.

REFLECTION

What I learned this week is how to manage field drainage and main drainage, replant seedlings and adjusting bed. I can also train my mind and body to be stronger to face all the challenges ahead. I believe that not everyone is able to go through the various challenges in this cost.
